Candle Pouring Experience (Fridays - Sundays)
What is a Candle Pouring Experience?
"Wine & Unwind" with us in this hands on workshop. In this beginner friendly class, you will choose from over 60+ oils and blend them to create a scent unique to you. In addition, your interactive instructor will walk you through the steps of melting soy wax, choosing a colored 10.5oz glass vessel and pouring your candle. Included in each reserved seat is a complimentary beverage from Dry Society Bar located within the Union Market.
What is included in the price?
Each reserved seat will include the ability to make (1) 10.5oz candle as well as a complimentary beverage from Dry Society Bar, located within the Union Market. You must provide proof of age to consume an alcoholic beverage. Those under age can enjoy a soda or lemonade.
How long does the process take from start to finish?
Depending on the number of participants, the candle making experiences typically last 1 hour and your candle will take an additional 1 hour to solidify. If you're not able to wait for your candle to solidify, you are welcome to leave contact information with your instructor and pick up your candle another day or arrange with our associate to have the candle(s) shipped to you (additional charges apply.)
Is there an age restriction?
Candle Pouring Experiences are suitable for anyone, ages 10 and up. While we'd love to host younger kids, the supplies required for candlemaking (fragrance oils and hot wax) aren't suitable for a younger children. All participants 10-18 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times - no unaccompanied minors may be left in our store unsupervised.
Are these private classes?
No. These are open groups, in most cases up to 8 participants that are hosted in store or within the Union Market. If you are looking to have a private class, please message us using the chat function in the bottom right and we can set that up for you (additional fees apply). If you are looking to host an event off site, please use our listing located here to schedule.
Are walk-ins allowed?
Absolutely. However, if we have reserved seats from online bookings, they take priority. If there is a reserved class, the walk ins would be asked to join the upcoming class. If there are no reservations for that day, then walk ins can begin immediately and will need a minimum of 2 hours, meaning the latest we can start a walk in is 7pm.
How many people can attend each session?
Our normal “Wine & Unwind” sessions (Friday through Sunday) can accommodate up to 6 participants when booked online.
Our “Wine & Unwind” HAPPY HOUR" sessions (select Wednesdays & Thursdays) max out at 4 participants when booked online.
If you have a larger group, please contact us using our chat function below (bottom right corner) or email us. We can send you a custom invoice or adjust maximum allowance so you can book online.
What is your cancellation policy?
We can cancel and refund any pre reserved online booking if a refund is requested at least 72 hours in advance. Due to the popularity of candle pouring experiences as well as our need to schedule staffing in advance to accommodate these experiences, any cancellation less than 72 hours will be transferred to a future date and not refunded.
What if I am running late for my reservation?
As a courtesy to all our attendees, we start our classes promptly. Out of respect to our scheduled staff and other participants, we ask that you arrive on time. Please call us at 949-336-2787 and if we have no other participants in your group, we can start when you arrive. In the event there are other participants in your group and you arrive late to your reserved experience, our instructors may require that you transfer your booking to another date.
Can we share a seat?
Unfortunately due to the limited size of our pop up shop and candle pouring experience space, we do not allow anyone to watch or participate in the class without a reserved seat. The only exception would be for an adult accompanying a minor.
Is there a dress code?
While we do not require a specific dresscode, we do ask that you are aware that you are using concentrated fragrance oils and handling hot wax (up to 200 degrees fahrenheit). Because of this, consider wearing closed toed shoes and be mindful of fabrics you do not want damaged in the event supplies get on your clothing.
Can we bring additional food and beverages for a special occasion?
Please contact us in advance using the chat function to discuss your special needs. Typically, we. can set up photo opt backdrops and we can reserve a space for outside food and drinks. Any participants that bring in outside food/drinks without notifying us prior may be turned away.
Do you provide wheelchair accessibility?
Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility. The retail center does have working elevators and the Union Market is set up for accessibility. Our pop up shop experience bar is over 30 inches in height. After discussing your needs, we will work to set up a table with proper height and accessibility for such accommodations.
