We use a proprietary blend of soy and coconut waxes. Both are natural waxes and healthier to breathe in versus commercially sold candles that use paraffin wax blends.
This is a great question that comes up often. In short, our products use fragrance oils designed specifically for candles and atomizer based sprays.
Using some pure essential oils in candles or diffusers can be toxic to small pets and harmful to children under the age of 2. You can consult with a vet or doctor for more details as we are not trained to describe these hazards. Instead, our fragrance oils are phthalate free, sulfate free, paragon free and have been refined to perfume grade quality. By working closely with vendors to have toxins removed from the oils, we are confident in the quality and safety of our end products.
We have offered wooden wicks in the past and found them to give an inconsistent user experience. Therefore, we sourced stabilizer free cotton wicks. They offer more consistency and you can enjoy your candle with the confidence that you are not burning any heavy metals in your wick.
When you burn a candle, the scent comes from the "melt pool" (the melted wax on the top of the candle). This can take up to 1 hour to create a fuller melt pool and therefore create a strong hot throw of the aroma. Never burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours max to prevent glass vessel from overheating and to prevent the wick from moving.
